Surval Montreux is a unique international full boarding school in Switzerland for girls aged 12-19. We offer a broad range of study programmes: internationally recognised IGCSE/A Level and American High School Program; Winter and Summer Camps; and The Surval Swiss Gap Experience, Surval’s own pre-university preparation programme. Many of our students go on to study Business Management, Law and International Relations in Switzerland, UK and USA.
Surval is also a much loved home for up to 60 girls. We offer an outstanding package of care with a nurturing family atmosphere providing innovative, personalised programmes tailored to each individual.
Surval girls enjoy our inspirational and safe setting, above Lac Leman with views across the glistening lake to snowy alpine peaks. Montreux is a pretty Swiss town which makes the most of its waterfront, benefitting from the nearby city of Geneva with Paris, Milan and Madrid a short train ride away.
Our exceptional enrichment opportunities include a variety sports, activities and student-led clubs as well as an exciting programme of international travel, really making the most of our spectacular location.
Our focus on languages (English and French), art, culture, business and charity, transforms our girls’ futures. We are the only school in Switzerland to teach Etiquette, gifting our students an educated, cultural understanding and respect. A Surval girl knows how to conduct herself. This ‘Globalising’ experience is the Surval way of life.
Families who bring their daughters here are looking for something different – we are not a typical school, we are much more. We celebrate an energy, drive and worldwide perspective unique to Surval Montreux.

Alongside arts, other clubs and activities include The International Award, Model United Nations, charity fundraising and our own Sustainability Society.
This has been the most amazing experience we could have given our daughter. She has arrived here as a young lady uncertain about her future and herself. She leaves here as a confident, experienced young adult. I can only thank you a thousand times for the profound difference you made in her life. She is now ready to start with her future.

Thank you so much to all the staff at Surval for giving my daughter such a wonderful experience. We have seen a positive change in her in just one week. We will definitely come back next year.
My daughter Alexa, literally had one of the most incredible experiences of her life last summer at Surval and made such great friendships with girls from all over the world. We would like for her to have another fabulous experience at Surval.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I came to Surval, but by the time I arrived the view simply blew me away. Being a Surval student has given me the chance to learn French with great teachers, and to create strong friendships that I am sure will continue after I leave the school. I have had so much fun with the different activities and enjoy the skiing.

Eugenia's "Writing for an Audience" part of her English exam included a task: "Why your child should spend a year living and studying abroad". What a wonderful piece of writing, well done Eugenia! ''Waking up to the wonderful sound of waves crashing on the beach, going sky diving over snowy mountains, and preparing a picnic under the Eiffel Tower are only a few of the many incredible opportunities your child will have while studying abroad. This year abroad will open their eyes to a world of new possibilities and new beginnings. They will not only have the chance to explore the world, but also to explore themselves. They will discover a side of themselves they didn't know existed - one that is hungry for knowledge and learning. A side of themselves that realizes they actually do enjoy going to museums, because after visiting the Louvre in Paris, they've found a love for Impressionist paintings. Simple tasks like learning to move around by themselves on the Metro or learning to order their food in another language will increase your child's independence and maturity. This year abroad will be full of new experiences. Your children will become global citizens: ones with an interest in different cultures and foods, knowledge about different religions and traditions, and with many new friends scattered all across the globe. Some of their best memories will be made during the year - a year they'll undoubtedly cherish forever and be truly grateful for.
