Idyllwild Arts Academy offers opportunities found at no other high school in the United States. On a forested 205-acre campus in sunny Southern California’s breath-taking San Jacinto Mountains, only two hours from Los Angeles, young artists benefit from an ambitious curriculum that integrates challenging college preparatory academic classes with intensive, specialized arts instruction. Each student specializes in the arts discipline of their choice: Classical Music, Jazz, Popular Songwriting, Voice, Visual Arts, Acting for Theatre, Musical Theatre, Technical Theatre, Dance, Film & Digital Media, Fashion Design, Interdisciplinary Arts, or Creative Writing. Arts classes are taught by a faculty of working professional artists who give instruction not only in the arts discipline itself, but in means of promoting one’s artistic career. Special attention is also given to young artists who wish to put their talents in the service of creating social change or addressing global challenges.
