Opis
Founded in 1968, the International School of Düsseldorf is a not-for-profit, independent, co-educational day school located in the heart of the international community of Kaiserswerth. Due to our non-profit status, all our income is invested back into the school for the benefit of our students.
Our school has a proud 50-year history of supporting young people to pursue their dreams and ambitions, in all walks of life, and in all corners of the globe. We deliver an outstanding education that prepares our students to be successful and inspires them to make a difference; an education that will equip them with the skills and aptitudes to tackle the global challenges they will face.
In our rapidly changing world – a world that is digitally connected and in which all knowledge is available within seconds – we imagine that our students will need the passion and courage to go on learning throughout life and the creativity to dream of a better world. At ISD, we are committed to providing every student with the individual support they need to flourish, to discover pleasure in learning, to become autonomous and intrinsically motivated, and, ultimately, to become architects of their own futures.

- Gento, Grade 12 dla Międzynarodowa Szkoła w Düsseldorfie
As a new student, I was very surprised to see that ISD would offer a hip hop dance class as an after-school activity. I met so many people from different grades, including one of my best friends. It's a great chance to take a break from academics and get some exercise, while having fun and being creative.
- Katy, Grade 11 dla Międzynarodowa Szkoła w Düsseldorfie
The IB DP gave our son the opportunity to choose subjects that he was curious about, subjects that supported his decision to study Psychology. The counsellors at ISD do a great job of reviewing options that are suitable for the student and make sure the student finds the best option for him or herself.

I was really inspired by the talented Grade9 students who I had the pleasure of mentoring during the Entrepreneur Week in June. It was a rewarding experience watching how the kids developed over the course of the week-their ideas, understanding of how a business is set up and how it is run, and their self-confidence.

Other schools feel like school. ISD feels welcoming and warm, like a true community. People want to come here, be involved, share a coffee, talk on the playgrounds. It is volunteering and working together that builds bonds.
