Founded in 2002, Hangzhou International School (HIS) is the only IB World School in Hangzhou that offers to the expatriate community an inclusive international experience. HIS curriculum includes Early Years to Grade 12, which is authorized by the International Baccalaureate (IB) to deliver the PYP, MYP, and IBDP programs.
HIS is the first and only international school in Hangzhou that is fully accredited by a worldwide accrediting association for schools outside USA (WASC), and authorized as an IB Continuum School, also member of ACAMIS, SISAC, HISAC, and EARCOS. We currently serve students from over 50 nationalities who go on to attend prestigious universities throughout the world.
We are also happy to announce the moving our new campus this coming August 2022 in the same convenient and beautiful area of Bin jiang District, not far away from our current facilities.

As an IB World School, we provide a rigorous, high-caliber academic program for all ages of students. While HIS already has a highly reputed International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IB DP) for Grades 11-12, we are also authorized with the full IB Continuum of study, which includes delivering the Primary Years Programme (IB PYP) for Grades EY-5 and the Middle Years Programme (IB MYP) for Grades 6-10.

Hangzhou International School offers Co-curricular Activities (CCAs) to all students from Kindergarten to Grade 12. The Co-curricular program allows students to develop talents in an environment that promotes the growth of leadership and communication skills all while being hands-on and engaging.
